Bio: Toshihiro Hanawa received the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Keio University, Tokyo, Japan, in 1995 and 1998, respectively. He was an Assistant Professor with the Tokyo University of Technology, Hachioji, Japan, from 1998 to 2007, a Research Fellow with the Center for Computational Sciences (CCS), University of Tsukuba, from 2007 to 2008, an Associate Professor with the CCS, from 2008 to 2013, and a Project Associate Professor with the Information Technology Center, The University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, from 2013 to 2015. Since December 2015, he has been an Associate Professor with the Information Technology Center, The University of Tokyo. His research includes accelerating computing, especially research for inter-GPU direct communication mechanism using FPGA. He is a member of the IEEE CS and IPSJ.
